Tallulah Morton
Harper's Bazaar Australia September 2010
tfs via Studded Hearts

This shoot depicts Australian glamour so well with its display of gorgeous party dresses at the beach. Tallulah Morton is simply stunning. A natural beauty, the girl-the-door if you like. She was on the same flight as me to the Gold Coast back in Summer 2009, looking super-human like in a grungy ensemble with combat boots. She towered over everyone around her and had this amazing glow about her. My favourite look in this shoot has to be the last, the contrast of the heavily gem embellished, feather J'Aton dress, with the tougher Wheels and Dollbaby Leather Biker Jacket. I've been on the hunt for the perfect leather jacket for a while so I think I'm going to pay a visit to the W&D Boutique, which only a suburb away from the uni I attend.

I ♥ Candy

Model: Devon
Photographed by Thirty9Steps

LOVE LOVE LOVE this!!! I'm getting all excited for summer....unfortunately still another month of winter to get through first. I'm looking forward to running along the beach blasting my ipod, swimming, lounging around with friends in the sun and riding my bike down to the beach to get ice-cream :)  This shoot is so retro and cool. Those black round sunglasses are to die for - I'll be on the hunt for a similar pair now. And I love all the red details - nails, suspenders, clutch and shoes. Fabulously free-spirited and summer loving

The Summer Uni Holidays are coming to an end...

Model: Anja Rubik
Photographer: Carter Smith
August 2006

As the holidays come to close and I look at this gorgeous shoot featuring Anja Rubik, I start to reflect on all the things I've done over the last 2 and half months or so. I must say its been rather good - nights out  & parties with friends, beautiful lunches out, coffee dates, bike rides, lots of Crust Vegetarian Pizza, some great movies (loved Avatar!), lawn bowls on Australia Day, walks on Hyams Beach and along the Cronulla Esplanade, chilling by the pool, successful shopping trips and so much more. One thing was missing though - I usually spend so much more time swimming at the beach! Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best this summer. It was either raining, really humid or simply too hot to go to the beach without being burnt till a crisp. So I think this Sunday, my last day of holidays, needs to be spent ducking under those waves at the beach. Fingers crossed that the weather allows for it! :)

Sequins at the Beach

I love the juxtaposition of evening glamour on a casaul beachy backdrop. I guess it goes back to my habit of always overdressing just that little bit, but only when I'm not forced to. I hate having to dress up for weddings, balls etc. because they force you to be glamourous, rather than effortless looking glamourous. There is something incredibly chic about going for a walk along the shore of the beach in a  embellished dress, barefoot, with the ocean breeze blowing through your hair - that's why beaches make such fabulous backdrops for a fashion shoot!
