I was in awe of the way the Parisians were dressed when I visited Paris with my family just over two years ago.  I could sit in the window of one of those quaint French cafes drinking one Café au lait after another watching the amazing ensembles of clothes and accessories walk past all day - stunning boots, velvet blazers, designer it-bags of the moment and fur coats. It was hard to decide between the masses of men, women and children who was the best dressed. I love how they mix monochrome classics with the latest trends to create that perfect outfit. It was fantastic to finally be able to wear all those glamourous winter items in my closet that are virtually unwearable in Sydney except of the coldest of days. I can't wait for a revisit!

Erin Wasson

All from  Studded Hearts

What words could be used to describe Erin Wasson's style? Perhaps "Refined Grunge" are appropriate. Her style reminds me much of Kate Moss's style in that she doesn't seem to follow trends  but still looks incredibly on trend. I love the military vest and fur coat. The military style seems to have become a classic over the last few years - Military boots, vests, coats and jackets. I suppose it's like Manstyle trousers and shirts - Always considered sexy on a woman year after year. The denim shorts looked refined with the black pumps and elegant white blouse, as does the LBD. I think the beauty of Erin's wardrobe choices are that the pieces are very much "Girl-next-door" pieces, rather than screaming designer-designer. Same goes for her hair and makeup that give that "I did it myself" look.

Colours of the Rainbow in Chanel Vernis

Miss Moss

What an amazing winter look! I am a big fan of black leggings with lots of zippers and the black fur is so chic. The black and white top gives some contrast too. The shoes don't really do it for me, and I believe some more meat on those legs would do some good too, but once again Miss Moss fails to disappoint.

My latest muse - Christine Centenera

I get inspiration for my outfits from all over the place - characters in movies, the runway, magazine editorials, people I see on the streets, the odd celebrity etc. Lately, I've been inspired by Christine Centenera's ensembles at various fashion events. After doing a little research I found out that she is Australian, started working at Cosmopolitan Magazine and now splits her time working as a fashion director for Harper's Bazaar Australia and a freelance stylist and also DJ's from time to time. In other words, her outfits aren't the only impressive thing about her. She has encouraged me to try wearing baggy paints, to wear a sheer black top tucked into skinny trousers, experiment with emblished neckpieces, to use a white t-shirt as a layer under what would normally be an evening unfit to make it more casual for daytime wear and get some extra wear out of all those blazers and fur coats in my closest. I'm looking forward to see what she comes up with in the future and I will be keeping an eye open for editorials styled by her.
