So true!

Loving the shirt, legging & boot look for a casual day out

Here I am by David Morales (Kaskade Remix)
I fell in love with this song in The Devil Wears Prada and have gone back to dancing to it in my bedroom after hearing it on the weekend. There's something so dreamy and happy about it :)

Film obsession of the moment: New York, I Love You
I've been waiting to watch this movies since I saw the trailer last year. I don't think it ever hit Australian cinemas. I finally found it on the net. It's a little weird and random like the original Paris, Je t'aime but I thought that was what made it fabulous in an arty, quirky way.

Warm & Fuzzy at Chanel & D&G

 Chanel Fall 2010

D&G Fall 2010
Images from I LOVE WILDFOX!

I am a fur fanatic - both genuine and faux. I have a collection of fur hats, scarves, coats, bags, belts and even footwear.  How Cruella de Ville of me! It all began when I was 10 years old and my mother bought me a faux leopard fur coat in Katoomba which I wore religiously for many winter seasons to come and still wear from time to time. I only buy vintage real fur pieces and restrict myself to rabbit and fox. I am against the killing of endangered species such as bears and leopards etc for their fur, unlike rabbit and foxes which are pests to the environment they live in. I believe that fur should be bought as a classic, rather than something you wear of a season and then dispose of or keep in your closet unworn. On the weekend I was excited to purchase a gorgeous chocolate brown fur coat from an antique store in Berima on a day trip to the country. I was thrilled to see fur boots worn at the Fall Chanel and D and G shows in Paris. I can't wait to put my fur pieces to good use once the weather gets cooler. I think a trip to the snow is in order this upcoming season because  unfortunately, there are few Sydney Winter says which a cool enough to wear fur, other than the mornings and evenings.

My favourite model of the moment in a breathtaking, aristocratic shoot. I love the mirror in the first photo too - would love something like that for my own space :)

Balmain Fall 2010

tfs via knight cat

Balmain's latest collection may not be revolutionary - it's still about skinny pants/jeans, blazers,  shoulder pads, ankle boots and bling. There was an injection of feather coats and leopard prints, however I didn't like the overall look of the outfits as much as the looks I've posted, despite my love of both feathers and leopard. I was thrilled to see the sheer black shirts, metallic skinny legs and navy blazer as I already own pieces like these. I'm really trying to make the most of my current wardrobe, restricting myself to only adding a few keys pieces per season. I thought the set was fantastic too - traditionally Balmain and dramatic - just like the collection!

I'm looking forward to wearing my black satin Madam Marie and fawn Sheike trench coats as the weather cools down. They are chic, versatile and a classic that can be worn season after season. I love wearing Trench coats over a short dress for a night out or with leggings or jeans during the day. They are great for the workplace too.

Kate Moss in British Vogue April 2010

tfs via M O D E L S

It's almost annoying how fantastic Kate Moss looks in this shoot without even taking into account that she isn't exactly young anymore. It's amazing that someone who looks so grungy on the street, can look so classic and glam as well. Each type of styles suits her equally. This shoot has inspired me to get my pencil skirts out and team them with black pumps (what I would do for a pair of Louboutin court shoes!) and stockings with a seam up the back for that perfect classically sexy look.

The Wonderland of Chanel Accessories Designer Laetitia Crahay

Marie Claire via I LOVE WILDFOX Blog

I am in awe of Laetita's Crahay home which resembles jumping down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland - quirky, vintage pieces mixed with iconic Chanel treasures. Going to such a place for me would be like taking a small child to a toy store - heaven! I particularly love the white guitar (even though i don't play) but what's wrong with that? I should be still able to admire such a beautiful possession. Seeing her home has inspired me to add some quirky pieces to my own space, which I'm finally getting round to properly decorating. At the moment I'm right into mixing new with old, classic with quirky, just like this!

I'm getting excited for Future Music Festival on Saturday :)

Traditionally, I'm not a festival goer - the idea of being covered in mud , in a crowd of people pushing and shoving, generally doesn't appeal to me. Despite this, I attended Future last year and had a blast. So I've decided to make the annual event an exception to my rule. Last year it was a beautiful early Autumn day and I wore denim shorts with a one-piece Lisa Ho Swimsuit (Probably a bit too classy for a festival but what the heck) and a cute pair of sandals. Funnily enough, I even had my hair blowed dried. Only by chance though! I just happened to decide to give my hair a good chop the day before at the hairdressers. This year the forecast is overcast with the chance of a storm so I'll be going for a very different look. Currently, I'm thinking an all black look consisting of leather boots, canvas shorts, an over-sized Stolen Girlfriends Club tshirt, a Trilby hat and a red quilted bag to top it off and add some colour. I've got some gumboots in case in rains the night before too - fingers crossed it doesn't rain on the day. Can't wait to see David Guetta and Empire of the Sun!
