Random Obsessions of the Moment...

Aje Fatale Dress
I'm absolutely obsessed with this dress! It's the 21st century equivalent to Audrey Hepburn's outfit in the opening scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's

Tony Bianco Suede Ankle Wedge Booties
I've been eying these beauties for a weeks now. I hope to make them my Winter party shoe of choice.

Peeptoe Clutch
Unfortunately my favourite evening bag broke a few weeks ago - It was the most adorable black silk clutch complete with enormous crystal handles and red lining. May it RIP. I'm thinking this time I will go for something a little bigger and hardwearing. Right now I'm thinking this black leather clutch with pewter studs.

Bambi
Bambi is my fav model of the moment. She seems to be popping up everywhere, including the Aje Lookbook. She has such an unusual and interesting look about her. Love those grey/green wide eyes and thicker brows. She pulls off that effortless glam, yet grungy look so well.

My favourite quote of the moment - I think it's so true!
A world full of abnormal people... what is normal and does it even exist?

Miranda Kerr in Elle

Photographer: Mariano Vivanco
Elle US June 2010

Miranda's hair looks amazing here - the shoulder length, side part with lots of volume look really suits her. The clothes are so classic too - my favs are the nude bodysuit in the first pic and the white dress in the 2nd pic cinched in with the big, black belt.

Summer Daydream

Model: Iza Olak
Photographer: Henry Moshizi
Costume June 2010

Such a pretty photoshoot. I love the loose curls, tulle underlay skirts, florals and espadrilles. It makes me wish that Sydney sunshine would come out, after what seems like weeks of rain and cloudy weather.

Wise Words

I once had a teacher that said "If haven't laughed at least 5 times in one day, it's been a waste of a day". If true, I haven't wasted many days in my life. While laughing has gotten me into a bit of trouble at times, particularly back in school, I think having a laugh always make it much easier to deal with whatever life throughs you.

Russh Rat Bag

Julia Nobis in Russh #34

I've been buying and collecting Russh Magazine since mid 2005. The thing I love about Russh is the mixing of chain store, vintage and designer pieces  to create fashion forward, yet original looks. The eclectic, street-style  element of the magazine, sets it apart from the other designer-designer mags.  I'm looking forward to purchasing #34 and flicking through it over a skinny late. Each issue is always filled with lots of inspiring looks and ideas. I'm loving the "Rat Pack" shoot combining tough leather jackets, dreamy tulle, shaggy coats, lace and ribbon to create the ultimate bow-tastic, rock chic look.

Miss Moss all rugged up in Fur

Kate Moss loves her fur and probably won't be joining PETA anytime soon. Those furs - shaggy, leopard, cream and whatever other style exists in that fashion wonderland of closet, look amazing on her. Since the weather has gotten cooler, I've been wearing my cosy fur coats. There is something incredibly glamourous and elegant about a great fur coat, whether it be real or faux. While I love fur, I do not endorse the production of new fur coats (go vintage!) and I think that  only animals which are considered pests, like foxes and rabbits, are acceptable to wear.

L.O.V.E.

Letters to Juliet:
I watched Letters to Juliet last Friday with my best friend and enjoyed it immensely. Yes it was incredibly unrealistic, and unfortunately such romantic notions about love simply do not exist in the real world, but it was a great feel-good movie. It was particularly entertaining to watch Chris Egan speak in his slightly unconvincing British accent.  I had a massive crush on Chris Egan when I was about 14 years old when he was on Home & Away - posters, autographs and watched the show religiously. Even a fansite. Sad, sad person I was! I'll blame it on being a teenage girl. The movie made me want to run away to the city of the Verona, visit the italian countryside and consume copious amounts of wine and cheese.

I've never considered myself the romantic type but I love a good romantic comedy every once in a while.  I've always believed that you don't need someone else to make you happy. Although, every once in a while I find myself on Le Love which is an absolutely fantastic blog - it's listed in my favourite blogs.

Here are a collection on love photos and images I've collected over the last couple of years:

Art Nouveau

Model: Erin Heatherton
Photographer: Derek Kettela
Elle France May 2010
Fashion Gone Rogue

Such an interesting shoot! Even though the clothes aren't particularly my style, I can appreciate the beauty of them up against the the fabulous art deco architecture of Barcelona. Since watching Christina Vicky Barecelona about a year ago, the city has definitely joined my "must visit" list of destinations on my next trip to Europe. The film was wonderfully arty, incredibly funny and Scarlett Johanson and Penelope Cruz were fantastic in there roles.
